TPD Celebrates 12 Days of Giving for the Holiday Season
December 04, 2023
The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is thrilled to unveil its annual holiday initiative with the return of the “12 Days of Giving.” Building on the success of previous years, this year's program represents a wide variety of community engagement and goodwill.
The “12 Days of Giving” is an integral part of TPD's ongoing commitment to fostering community relations beyond the call for service. As part of TPD’s HERE for You initiative, various units throughout the department are embracing the spirit of the season and have selected charitable organizations to support this holiday season.
“Our support of those in need this season helps to alleviate the stress that many experience this time of year,” said Police Chief Lawrence Revell. “We aim to reinforce the idea that we are HERE for our community, all year long, and especially during the holidays. Witnessing the positive impact on those we serve is not only gratifying but serves as a powerful reminder of the special community we have in Tallahassee."
The “12 Days of Giving” will extend its reach throughout the month of December, showcasing a multitude of events and collections aimed at uplifting the spirits of thousands within our community. The list below outlines the organization or event each unit has decided to champion:
