Call Street Water Valve Replacement Project
The City’s North Monroe & Call Street Water Valve Replacement Project includes replacing aging water valves in the intersection of North Monroe Street and Call Street and the intersection of Adams Street and Call Street. Collectively, these investments support the City’s commitment to be a leader in utility service delivery and to proactively address issues related to aging infrastructure.
Construction is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday, May 22, and is expected to be completed by mid-morning on Sunday, May 23, barring any unanticipated delays. A temporary water outage is necessary to complete the water valve replacement. To minimize the impacts to area residents and businesses as much as possible, the outage has been scheduled for 12 a.m. (midnight) on Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
Once construction begins, it will be necessary to close the intersection of Call Street and Adams Street. North Monroe will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the Call Street intersection.
